Audi Q5 is an SUV from Audi. Q5 shares its platform with A4 and A5. A4 and Q5 have have same wheelbase and similar chassis design. This SUV have a sedan feel and impressive dynamics. Since it follows the path of Q7, the styling appears familiar, but the Q5 is significantly smaller and unlike the seven- seater Q7, it seats five. But this is not only the difference. While the Q7 is big and burly, the Q5 has better balanced proportions and looks more sporty and agile.
Inside, the sumptuous high seating gives a very good all around view and back seat occupants get a split folding bench seat that moves forward or backward and the backrest also reclines. It has lot of rear leg room and heaps of head room and much of the facia is A4 derived.
The Q5 is initially being offered with a 2.0 liter petrol TFSI and a 3.0 liter , V6 diesel TDI. 2.0 TDI distributes its power through a 6 speed manual and for the other 2 more torque engines, Audi has developed a new 7 speed DSG sequential-shift automatic and this is the first application of the twin clutcher gearbox with a longitudinally mounted engine.
